Semora, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of Ms. Bettie Ada Lee McCain of 13820 Hwy 119 N Semora, NC, who passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 in the Brian Center Nursing Facility in Yanceyville, NC.
She was a native of Caswell County, NC, the daughter of the late Thomas Anderson McCain and Victoria Smith McCain, born November 20, 1934. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she was a member of the missionary circle, usher board, senior choir and kitchen committee.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Edward McCain, John Whitney McCain and Ernest McArthur McCain; three sisters, Dorothy E. Chambers, Joann Coleman and Barbara Jean McCain.
Her survivors are one brother, Curtis McCain of Milton, NC; nephews and niece she raised, Ronald McCain of Semora, NC, Sandy McCain of Danville, VA, Bobby Ray McCain (Sherry) of Greensboro, NC and Joylett Perry (Rev. Brud) of Milton, NC; brother-in-law, Willie James Coleman of Leasburg, NC; two sisters-in-law, Marie H. McCain of Milton, NC and Mable McCain of Milton, NC; godson, Rodney Cherry of Baltimore, Md.; great nephew, Cody T. McCain Sr. (Shaunda) of Morganton, NC; great niece, Matina McCain of Roxboro, NC; great-great nephew, Cody T. McCain II of Morganton, NC; good friends, Gladys Elmore, Joseph Long, Dorothy Thaxton, and Leona Brandon; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
