Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Ella Belle Hodnett Lea of 633 Melvin Wrenn Rd., Yanceyville, NC, who passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 in the SOVAH Health in Danville, VA.
She was a native of Caswell County, NC, the daughter of the late Wesley Hodnett Sr. and Geneva Watlington Hodnett, born March 20, 1943. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and was an employee of Dan River Mills for over 40 years before retirement.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, LaGrier Ella Belle Lea and Ma'Hagnie Renee Lea; three brothers, Wesley Hodnett Jr, James Hodnett and Earl Hodnett.
Her survivors are one daughter, Lisa Hodnett Anderson (Ronald) of Yanceyville, NC; two sons, Michael Hodnett (Loretta) of Yanceyville, NC and Gregory Lea (LaQuanda) of Gibsonville, NC; nine sisters, Irene Hodnett of Gibsonville, NC, Ruby Walter (Leon) of Blanch, NC, Eva Harrell of Danville, VA, Phyllis Wilson (Vaughn) of Atwater, California, Charlene Graves (James) of Reidsville, NC; Louise Miles, Rosa Clark, Joyce Hodnett, and Anna Young (Kenneth) all of Yanceyville, NC; one brother, Dodge Hodnett of Yanceyville, NC; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; special friend of the family, Carlton Robinson of Blanch, NC; aunts; uncle; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
