Danville, VA. - It is with deep sadden we announce the passing of Mr. Paul Terry Diggs Sr. of 252 Parker Rd., Danville, VA., who passed away Monday, August 26, 2019 in the UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.

He was a native of Richmond County, NC, the son of the late Rufus Diggs and Edna Ellerbe Diggs, born July 14, 1940. He was a graduate of Shaw University with a BS degree in Science.

Paul attended St. Luke United Methodist Church in Danville, VA. and he was an employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber before retirement.

He was preceded in death by one son, Russell Dawkins; one daughter, Agnus Dawkins; one brother, Robert Diggs; one sister, Edna Wall McDonald.

His survivors are wife, Rose Moss Diggs; two sons, Paul T. Diggs Jr. (Danya) of Blanch, NC and Terrell Diggs of Danville, VA.; four daughters, Rosalyn Stackhouse of Concord, NC, Paula Diggs of Blanch, NC, Pauletta Cates (Walter) of Blanch, NC and Zion Diggs of Danville, VA.; one sister, Marion Best (Odell) of Raleigh, NC; 14 grandchildren; great grandchildren; special friend, Verna Williamson of Danville, Va.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
