Ringgold, VA - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. David Lee Turner of 321 Rushing Branch Rd. Ringgold, VA, who passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 in the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.
He was a native of Rockingham County, NC, and the son of the late Eddie Turner and Annie Mae Graves Turner, born July 7, 1945. He was an employee of Dan River Mills before retirement and he was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Myrtle Ophelia Corbett, Margrata Watlington and Frances Turner; three brothers, Abraham, June, and JT Turner.
His survivors are wife, Jacqueline Harris Turner of the home; one son, Leonard Dernard Turner of the home; two daughters, Denise T. Royal (Eric) Chatham, VA and Rhonda Brandon (Greg) of Alton, VA; two brothers, Wilson Turner and William Turner; one sister, Autrice Hampton of Garner, NC; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; one brother-in-law; five sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
