Leasburg, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Derick Lea Williams, 58, of 3361 Solomon Lea Rd. Leasburg, NC, who passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019.

He was the son of the Ponzella Lea Williams and the late Willie E. Williams, born May 3, 1961. He was a member of St. James Baptist Church and was a construction worker.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Marty Williams.

His survivors are mother, Ponzella Lea Williams of the home; one son, Derick M. Williams of the home; 1 daughter, Brianna Williams of the home; significant other, Angela Hughes; two brothers, Willie Williams (Elanore) of Burlington, NC; and David Totten of Yanceyville, NC; five sisters, Cynthia Williams McGhee (Henry), Pamela Williams Hatchett (Nathan), Tynica Williams Shaw (Barry), Shenica Williams Scott (Christopher) and Lekisha Williams Hairston (Landry) all of Leasburg, NC; two grandchildren, Kaylea Fallen and Summer Richardson; special sister-in-law, Fannie Jackson; aunts; uncles; other relatives and friends.
