James Allen Sellars Sr.

Burlington, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. James Allen Sellars Sr., of 245 Byrd Saw Mill Rd. Burlington, NC who passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in the Alamance Regional Medical Center ( Cone Health ) Burlington, NC.

He was a native of Caswell County, NC the son of the late William Thomas Sellars and Anna Shaw Sellars, born April 12, 1943.

He was a member of Jones Crossroad Missionary Baptist Church and he was a farmer before retirement.

He was preceded in death by one son, Marvin Lee Sellars; one daughter, Sylvia Sellars Jeffers and  five brother, Rev. Roger Scott Sellars, Lacy Sellars, Hoskins Sellars, Ed Sellars, and William Thomas Sellars;  and one sister,Frances Sellars  Richmond.

His survivors are wife, Christine Watlington Sellars of the home; one son, James A. Sellars Jr. ( Brittney ) of Yanceyville, NC; three grandchildren; stepmother, Daisy Sellars of Burlington, NC; three brothers, Jerry Wayne Sellars, Donnie Lee Sellars all of Burlington, NC, and Larry Donnell Sellars ( Eloise ) of Elon, NC; one step brother, Joseph Pinnix of Yanceyville, NC; eight sisters, Pauline Sellars ( David ) , Mary Terry both of Burlington, NC, Adell Graves ( Monroe ), Cora Sellars both of Elon, NC, Mozelle Morrow of Green Level, NC, Ada Briggs ( Joseph ) of Mebane, NC, Diana Williamson ( Jeff ) of Reidsville, NC and Teresa Watington ( Curtis ) of Yanceyville, NC;  three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews other relatives and friends.
