Blanch, NC - In the midst of serenity, beauty and godliness, the Lord called Mrs. Ruth Ann Lea Oliver from her earthly home to a land that is forever free from, sickness, sorrow, pain and death on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at her home.
Ruth, as she was affectionately called “Ruth Ann.” She was born in Caswell County, NC on August 15, 1952 to the late Fred Lea and Ruth L. Lea. Willie Lea, Jr. “Jake” was a father figure to Ruth Ann.
Ruth was educated in both the Caswell County School System and Alamance Technical Institute where she received her High School Diploma in 1972.
Ruth was an employee of Sovah Health (formerly Danville Regional Medical Center) in Danville, VA and she was a private duty nurse prior to her retirement.
Ruth confessed in Christ and joined Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church. She was a Deaconess, a Choir member and a faithful member that did whatever her hands could find to do for her church.
Ruth loved life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her fathers; Fred, and Willie, two brothers; Darnell, and James ArthurLea.
Ruth’s survivors are her beloved husband of 49 years David Lewis Oliver, two sons; David Oliver (Shannon) and Elder Joey Oliver (Monica), her mother; Ruth L. Lea, one sister; Angela Hughes, two brothers; Willie Earl Lea and Sherman Lea, six grandchildren; three aunts; two uncles; six sisters-in- law; three brother-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relative and friends.
