Blanch, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Willie Lee Southern of 3866 Slade Rd. Blanch, NC who passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at his residence.

He was a native of Caswell County, NC the son of the late Ollie Will Southern and Ellen Lea Southern, born November 16, 1943. He was a member of Hamer Baptist Church .

He was married to Julia  Willis Southern who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death five brothers, Harry, Ollie, Roosevelt, James Robert, and Bobby Southern; four sisters, Mary Alice Hayes, Willie Mae Southern, Penci Scott and Adeline Mitchell.

His survivors are one daughter, Jennifer S. Gwynn ( Tony ) of Reidsville, NC; two sisters, Naomi Watlington of Yanceyville, NC and Juanita Brim ( Willie ) of Milton, NC; two grandsons, Byron Southern and Bryson Southern; sisters-in-law, Lillian Cobb, Bessie Graves ( Rev. James ), Elsie Price, and Kaylene Listner ( Thomas ) all of Yanceyville, NC, Thelma Lea ( Emanuel ) of Mebane , NC and Dorene Southern of Danville, Va.; brothers-in-law, Hurley Willis ( Janie ) of Blanch, NC and John Willis ( Sophia ) of Pelham, NC; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
