Danville, VA - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Alean H. Lea "Aunt Sisie" formerly of 197 Chatelaine Ave. Danville, VA, who passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 in the Roman Eagle and Health Care Center, Danville, VA.
Ms. Alean was born a native of Caswell County, North Carolina on November 14,1927 to the late Earline Lea and Mary Alice Lipscomb Lea. Her family and friends affectionately knew our beloved as “Aunt Sisie”.
Ms. Alean was educated and graduated in the Caswell County Public School System. Prior to Ms. Alean's retirement, she was an employee of Dan River Mills in Danville, VA.
Ms. Alean accepted Christ and joined River Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Blanch, NC, where she was a Greeter and a member of the Senior Choir.
In addition to Ms. Alean’s parents, she was also preceded in death by her four sisters, Louise Swann, Jerneata Dingle, Frances Camp, and Ada Womack; and one brother, Emmett Lea.
Ms. Alean H. Lea "Aunt Sisie" leaves to cherish her memories to her two beloved sisters, Margaret Stephens of Providence, NC and Betty Strong of Corona, NY; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Lea of Blanch, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A viewing will be Monday, August 09, 2021 from 2 to 7 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Ms. Alean H. Lea will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Pastor Alvis A. Alston will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow in the River Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Blanch, NC.
