Eden, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Alexander Abbott Jr. of Eden,  NC, who passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at his daughters residence in Greensboro, NC.

Alexander was born September 6,1948, in Rockingham Co. to the late William A. Abbott and Mary E. Wilson Abbott

He attended Alpha Faith Temple Church in Martinsville VA., and he worked as a Truck driver before his illness.

Mr. Alexander Abbott Jr. leaves to cherish his memories to his; one son; William Alexander Wade of Eden, NC four daughters; Tifany Chambers of Blanch, NC, Minister April Wade of Greensboro, NC, Kisha Wade of Reidsville, NC, and Toni Rucker of Greensboro, NC one brother; Ronnie Hairston (Machenda) of Greensboro, NC two sisters; Nannie (Libby) Hairston of Eden, NC and Judy Parker (Curtis) of Reidsville, NC. Twelve grandchildren, Fourteen great-grandchildren, Special friend,  Linda Darlene Broadnax of Eden, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, March 20, 2024; from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fulton-Walton Memorial Eden Chapel; 417 Price Street, Eden, NC 27288.

Family visitation viewing for Alexander Abbott Jr. will be Thursday, March 21, 2024; from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel; 417 Price Street, Eden, NC 27288.

Funeral Services for Alexander Abbott Jr. will be conducted Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm  at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel, 417 Price Street, Eden, NC.

Interment will be Tuesday, March 26, 2024 10:00 AM in the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd.  Salisbury, NC.
