Antonio M. Harrell

Greensboro, NC – It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Antonio Markea Harrell  38,of 903 Hanahan Court Apt 1B, Greensboro, NC, who passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his residence.

Antonio was born to Roy and Gwendolyn Bigelow Harrell on June 22, 1983. He was born in Danville, VA but he was raised and spent most of his life in Yanceyville, NC.

Antonio was a graduate of the Class of 2001 from Bartlett Yancey High School in Yanceyville, NC. While attending Bartlett Yancey, he was a faithful member of the Junior ROTC. 

Antonio was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Providence, NC, where he sung in the Sunbeam Choir.

Antonio was a general maintenance employee at Pita Delite in High Point, NC.

Antonio was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Totten, paternal grandparents, Roy Linwood Harrell, Sr. and Della Ernestine Carver Harrell; maternal grandparents, Charles Albert Bigelow and Nettie Florence Gunn Bigelow; two aunts, Mary Elizabeth Ferguson, and Erma Diane Turner.

Mr. Antonio Markea Harrell leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Roy L. Harrell, Jr. and Gwendolyn Bigelow Harrell of Pelham, NC; one sister, Rochelle Harrell of Pelham, NC; one brother, Bryce McCain (Kim) of Milton, NC; three uncles, Charles Bigelow (Laquetta) of Hoschton, GA, James Carver and Kenneth Harrell of Baltimore, MD; five great aunts, Saint Clara Robinson of Yanceyville, NC, Jane Dildy of Providence, NC, Luella Blackwell (James) of Norfolk, VA, Ardelia Bigelow of Providence, NC and Nancy Bigelow of Yanceyville, NC; two great uncles, James Bigelow (Lena) of Providence, NC and LeRoy Rayfield Carver (Dorothy) of Jamaica Queens, NY; godmother, Paulette O. Stephens of Durham, NC; one niece, Kamryn McCain; two nephews, Kiryce and Kayden McCain of Milton, NC; a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.  The family will be present from 5 to 6 pm.

Funeral Services for Mr. Antonio Markea Harrell will be Friday, September 17, 2021, 2:00 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Williams will deliver the words of comfort.  Interment will follow in Sassafras Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Yanceyville, NC.
