Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Barbara Gwynn Brown of 1044 Foster Rd. Yanceyville, NC, who passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Barbara Gwynn Brown was born December 31, 1941 in Caswell County, NC to the late Nolden Gwynn and Beatrice Foster Gwynn. She was a high school graduate of Caswell County High School.

Mrs. Barbara Gwynn Brown moved to Nyack, New York in 1960. She was employed with the Nyack Hospital as a Nurses Aid and later became employed with Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company in Quality Control before retirement.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Barbara Gwynn Brown was preceded in death by her husband, William Brown; two brothers, Robert Gwynn and Walter Totten, Jr. 

Mrs. Barbara Gwynn Brown leaves to cherish her memories her beloved son Michael Brown of the home; two sisters, Lorraine Simpson and Valeria King; one sister-in-law, Ella Louise Gwynn; one niece, Allison Renee Clark both of Blanch, NC three nephews; James Noell, Kenneth Noell, Tommy Totten; one grandson, Jahvari Brown and a host of other relatives and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Friday, February 18, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Barbara Gwynn Brown will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Pastor Freddie Seabrooks will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow in the Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelham, NC.
