Pelham, NC – It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Barbara Walton Abbott of 152 Mt. View Drive, Pelham, NC, who passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Sovah Health, Danville, VA.
Barbara was the daughter of the late Lemuel Walton and Odaries Saunders Walton born June 1, 1952 in Danville, VA.
She worked as a Cook at Hardee’s prior to her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Walton; one sister, Deborah Walton; four brothers, Ralph Walton, Eddie Walton, Michael Walton and Ricky Walton.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter, Danlena Walton of Pelham, NC; one son, Derick Walton of Danville, VA; one sister, Sharon Walton of Texas; 21 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; special niece, Tandaline W. Hester of Mebane, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service for Ms. Barbara Walton Abbott will be Thursday, September 16, 2021, 2:00 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Minister Gail Saunders will deliver the words of comfort. (Facial Masks are required)
