Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Brenda Hylton Williamson of 2480 NC Hwy 62 South, Yanceyville, North Carolina peacefully reached her heavenly home at the age of 77 Monday, November 2, 2020 from her residence in Yanceyville, North Carolina.
Ms. Brenda Hylton Williamson was the daughter of the late Lucy Hylton, born September 25,1943 in Roanoke Virginia.
Brenda completed her primary years of education in the Roanoke School System. She attended Kittrell College and graduated from Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina. Brenda pursued a career as a school teacher. Prior to retirement, she taught at Stoney Creek Elementary School, Cobb Elementary School, and North and South Elementary Schools.
Brenda attended Pearson Chapel AME Church in Yanceyville, NC where she sang with the choir for a period of time. Her favorite past times were drawing, completing crossword puzzles, calligraphy, and watching scary movies with family and friends.
Ms. Brenda Hylton Williamson leaves to cherish her memories one son, Keynon Scott Williamson and his wife, Monique of Raleigh, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Angela Williamson of Durham North Carolina; two sisters, Esther Whitlock and Charlotte Cunningham both of Roanoke, Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a there will be no viewing but you are welcome to sign the register on Sunday, November 08, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time.
Graveside Services for Ms. Brenda Hylton Williamson will be Monday, November 09, 2020, 2:00 pm at Pearson Chapel AME Chapel Cemetery.
