Roxboro, NC - With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Brinyena Graves, who left us on May 15, 2024, at her residence. Born on October 25, 1987, Brinyena Graves was the cherished daughter of Annie Marie Graves and the late Brian White raised by her surviving adoptive parents; John, and Marionette Graves.
Brinyena Graves was a 2006 graduate of Bartlett Yancey High School; and was a member of High Rock Baptist Church. She was also a wonderful and loving mother to her two children, Lynnasia, and Josiah, who will forever remember her warmth and love.
Brinyena was a dedicated employee at Wendy’s Restaurant, where she was known as a good friend, a positive person, and a blessing to be around. She had a special gift for encouraging others, always knowing just what to say to bring a smile to someone's face. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but we find comfort in the promises of scripture: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) and "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." (Matthew 5:4).
Brinyena's biological father, Brian White preceded her in death.
Brinyena leaves to cherish her memories to a daughter, Lynnasia Hunter, and a son, Josiah Wilson both of the home; mother, Annie Marie Graves of Yanceyville, NC; adoptive father and mother, John Graves (Marionette) of Reidsville, NC; five sisters, Shavel White of Greensboro, NC, Gréyena Graves of Winston Salem, NC, Chinita Graves of Waldolf, MD, Kayla Johnson, Bonesha Wallace and Brianna White of Pittsburgh, PA; six brothers, Jamar Dailey, Brian White, Brian White, Jr., Camar Ellis, Camron Ellis all of Pittsburgh, PA and Christopher Graves (Kasey) of Whitsett, NC; and a host of other relatives, and friends whose lives she touched.
As we mourn her passing, let us take comfort in knowing that Brinyena’s light shone brightly in this world, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We find solace in the memories we shared and the love she gave so freely.
