Reidsville, NC - Mr. Calvin King Sr. 56 of 1969 Stoney Creek School Rd. Reidsville, NC, who passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, in the Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.
Calvin “Tuddy” King was born July 1, 1967, in Alamance County, NC to Carol Johnson and the late Levonso Hemingway, Sr. He departed this life on February 1, 2024 in the Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.
Calvin worked at various textile mills, painting, and brick laying. He will be remembered for his love of fishing. If you were looking for him, that’s where you would find him. He also loved to draw. He was also a comedian in his own right. He worked hard, played hard, and loved even harder. No matter the situation Tuddy didn’t let others’ opinions sway his decisions.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Carol Johnson of Reidsville, NC; three sons, Calvin King Jr. (Ana) of Valdosta, GA., Brandon King of Greensboro, NC and Justin King of Danville, VA.; one daughter, Latoya King of Burlington, NC; siblings, Yvonne Nelson (Mark) of Havre De Grace, MD, Yvette Hemingway of Greensboro, NC, and Levonso Hemingway Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; Brandon Warren (Angie), Justin Warren and Sasha Warren all of Pelham, NC; honorary sister Hattie “Lil Bit” King, Alamance County, NC; Fourteen grandchildren, Jeremiah, Kazyiah, Josiah, Mysiah, Jamyiah, Joshua, Stephon, David, Daniel, Ne’lmjiah, and Kairo. He was loved by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Public viewing for Calvin Lee King Sr. will be Friday February 9, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mr. Calvin Lee King Sr. will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home Rev. Claude walker will deliver the words of comfort.
