Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Charles Lindberg Rogers of 2772 NC Hwy 57 N., Milton, NC, who died Monday, November 9, 2020 in the Roxboro Nursing Facility, Roxboro, NC.

Mr. Charles Lindberg Rogers was youngest son of the late Lewis Rogers and Lula Snipes Rogers; born on March 26, 1930 in Leasburg, North Carolina. He was affectionally called “Lindberg” by his family.

Charles attended and graduated in the class of 1948 from the Caswell County Training (High) School. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. Charles was honorably discharged after achieving the rank of “Airman 2nd Class”.

Later, Charles and Marvin Bennett formed a partnership and Co-Owned Delta TV Repair in Mount Vernon, NY. He left the business in 1973 for a position as an Electrician at Precision Value Corporation in Yonkers, NY. The company sent Charles to Milacron in Cincinnati, OH to complete his course work on CAMAC Systems. He was highly regarded for his work at Precision Value Corporation until retirement.

Charles Lindberg Rogers was joined in holy matrimony to Delores Hopkins in December of 1955. He moved to their dream home in Milton, NC after the death of his beloved Delores in November of 1992.

Charles joined Saint James Baptist Church at a young age and reactivated his membership after relocating to NC; where he served as Trustee, Treasurer, Sound Engineer, and a building committee member.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife Delores Hopkins Rogers; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Poteat, and Ella Blanche Taylor; four brothers, Ruffin Bedford Rogers, Willie Dewey Rogers, Preston Lewis Rogers, and Howard Shepard Rogers.

Mr. Charles Lindberg Rogers leaves to cherish his memories to his three sons, Charles Vincent of the home, Jody Everet of Ohio, and Corey Lyn of Alaska; three sisters, Marie Antoinette Williams, and Annie Louise Moore both of Roxboro, NC; Helmer Semethod Pass of Leasburg, NC; a sister-in-law, Matilda H. Hartsfield of Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, a special friend, Marylene McCain, other relatives, and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Friday, November 13, 2020 from 2 to 8 pm in Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Lindbergh Rogers will be Saturday, November 14, 2020, 4:00 P.M. at Saint James Baptist Church Parking Lot in Leasburg, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
