Charlie James Jeffers

Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Charlie James Jeffers age 81, of 545 Culver Road, Milton, North Carolina. He departed his earthly life on Saturday, June 08, 2024, at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, North Carolina.

Charlie was born on December 27, 1942, to the late John Major Jeffers, Sr. and Annie Lea Jeffers. He was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina, where he attended the local public schools. Afterwards, Charlie became employed at Goodyear Rubber & Tire Company in Danville, Virginia. Charlie was a member of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Milton, North Carolina. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Fannie B. Jeffers; three sisters, Ruth Ethel Williams, Christine Louise Chandler, and Esther Davis; his five brothers, John Major Jeffers, Jr., Clarence Jeffers, Alexander Jeffers, George Jeffers, and Allen Jeffers.

Mr. Charlie James Jeffers leaves to cherish his memories with his two daughters, June Helena Jeffers of Yanceyville, North Carolina, and Allison Jeffers of Milton, North Carolina; two stepdaughters, Benita Torsell (Dwayne) and Monica Broadnax all of Whitemarsh, Maryland; two sons, James Anthony Jeffers of Burlington, North Carolina, and Carlton Jeffers of Danville, Viriginia; two stepsons, John McCain of Alexanderia, Virginia, and Tyrone Lea of Durham, North Carolina; one sister, Doris Crawford of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Warner Jeffers of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Sylveen Jeffers of Savannah Georgia, and Thomas Wesley Jeffers of Milton, North Carolina; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.

A Public viewing for Mr. Charlie James Jeffers will be on Sunday, June 16, 2024; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Family visitation viewing for Mr. Charlie James Jeffers will be on Monday, June 17, 2024; from 11:30 a.m. to 12 Noon at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charlie James Jeffers will be conducted at 12 Noon on Monday, June 17, 2024; at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 364 Old Satterfield Rd, Milton, NC.
