Charlie L. Abbott Jr.

Greensboro, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Charlie L. Abbott Jr. of 306 N. Regan St. Greensboro, NC, who passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Hospice of Piedmont, in High Point, NC.

Charlie, the beloved son of the late Mr. Charlie L. Abbott Sr. and Georgianna Griffin Abbott, was born on May 12, 1941; in Rockingham County, North Carolina.

As a native and lifelong resident, he attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School.

Shortly afterwards, Charlie became a Truck Driver prior to his retirement.

He joined Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, North Carolina at an early age.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Thelma Madkin Abbott; his four sisters Elretha Young, Nettie Sue Lea, Georgianna Abbott Johnson, Conelia Abbott; and his brother: William Alex Abbott.

Mr. Charlie L. Abbott Jr. leaves to cherish his memories to his sister: Virginia Sobers of Greensboro, North Carolina; and his brother: Walter Abbott of Carrollton, Virginia; and his nieces; nephews; other loving relatives; and many cherished friends.

Family visitation for Mr. Charlie L. Abbott Jr. will be Saturday, December 16, 2023; from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel; 417 Price Street, Eden, NC 27288.

Memorial Services for Mr. Charlie L. Abbott Jr. will be conducted at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023; at Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel; 417 Price Street, Eden, NC 27288.
