Washington, DC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Chiquita Lachelle Foster, 50, of 1437 Cedar St. SE, Washington, DC, who passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.
She was a resident of Washington, DC born on April 4, 1972, to Hazel Simpson Foster and the late John Alvin Foster.
Chiquita was affectionately known as “Kita” received her education at McKinley Technology High School. Chiquita never met a stranger and will be remembered as an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
In addition to her father Chiquita was preceded in death by her sister Twyila Rechae Foster.
Chiquita leaves to cherish her memories her mother Hazel Simpson Foster; brother Timothy Lee Foster; her fiancé John Scoggins; her god sister Alicia Scales; two god brothers: Alfred Thompson and Johnny Williams; nieces: Monica Foster, Tyesha Foster, Sabria Foster, Takiyah Foster, Tashina Scales, and Miangel Thompson; nephews: Troy Foster, Marcus Foster, EdTrail Smith, Marcus Foster, Jr., and Dayon Scales; special cousin Kenny Simpson; special friend Alana Seaborne; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Ms. Chiquita Foster will be Friday, March 17, 2023; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
A visitation for Ms. Chiquita Foster will be Saturday, March 18, 2023; from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral Services for Ms. Chiquita Foster will be Saturday, March 18, 2023; at 1:00 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelham, NC.
