Christine Watlington Sellars

Burlington, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Christine Watlington Sellars of 245 Byrd Saw Mill Rd. Burlington, NC, who passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in the UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.

Mrs. Christine Watlington Sellars was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina born on September 11, 1950 to the late John Will Watlington and Ann Wright Watlington. 

Christine was a member of Jones Cross Road Baptist Church where she served as an usher. She was employed with Kayser Roth Hosiery for 35 years before retirement.

Christine loved reading books, going fishing and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Christine Watlington Sellars was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Sellars; two children, Sylvia S. Jeffers and Marvin Sellars; two sisters, Fannie W. Sellars and Eunice A. Watlington; one brother, Roy Lee Watlington.

Mrs. Christine Watlington Sellars leaves to cherish her beloved memories to her: son, James Fitzgerald Sellars of Yanceyville, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Shanice Sellars of the home and Shantel Sellars of Tennessee; one grandson, Javari Sellars of the home; one sister, Bertha Mae Thompson of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; three brothers, John Brown Watlington (JoAnn) and Walter Watlington all of Burlington, North Carolina, Percy Watlington of Yanceyville, North Carolina; other relatives and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a  viewing will be Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time.   (Per CDC Guidelines:  Facial Masks are required).

Funeral Services for Mrs. Christine Watlington Sellars will be Sunday, October 18, 2020, 2:00 pm with family arriving at 1:30 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.  Pastor Alton Vann will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow at the Jones Cross Road Baptist Church Cemetery, 3651 Stoney Creek School Rd, Reidsville, North Carolina.
