Curtis Hughes

Danville, VA - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Curtis Hughes 74, of 757 Vicar Road, Danville, VA; who passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at his residence.

He was a native of Caswell County, NC; and the son of the late Irvin Chesley Hughes, Sr., and Susie Anna Brown Hughes. 

Mr. Curtis Hughes retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 41 years of service.  He was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Danville, VA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Cynthia Hughes; three brothers, Irvin Hughes, Jr., Richard Hughes, and Gregory Hughes.

Cherishing Mr. Curtis Hughes memories are his wife, Annie Delois Jones Hughes of the home; two daughters, Coretta Necole Streat (Kevin) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and Allison Janel Hughes of Richmond, Virginia; Goddaughter, Tiffany Daniel of Richmond, Virginia; one brother, Leon Hughes of New Jersey; three sisters, Linda H. Faulkner of Milton, North Carolina, Gladys Hughes of Reidsville, North Carolina and Mae H. Woods of Danville, Virginia; two grandchildren, Nyia Willis and Oshae Willis of Maryland; three special fury companions, Spike, Khloe and Stormi; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing for Mr. Curtis Hughes will be from 10 am to 11 on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Danville, VA.

Funeral Services for Mr. Curtis Hughes will be Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Danville, VA with Father Anthony Senyah delivering the words of comfort. ( Facial Masks are required)
