Danville, VA - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. David Edmonds, Sr., age 61, of 5 Riverview Ave. Danville, VA., who passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022; at SOVAH Health, in Danville, VA.
David was the son of the Elder Alvester Edmonds and the late Nannie Bradley Edmonds; born May 26, 1961; in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.
David was a member of Cornerstone Church of Jesus Church in Danville, VA.
David was an employee at Walmart in Danville, VA.
In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by one daughter, Davida Edmonds: and one sister, Diane Edmonds.
Mr. David Edmonds, Sr. leaves to cherish his memories to wife, Jacqueline Edmonds of the home; one daughter, Kenisha Chandler and one son, David Edmonds, Jr. both from Danville, VA; his father, Elder Alvester Edmonds of Danville, VA; two sisters, Angela Edmonds Carter, and Sylvia Goods (Randal) both from Danville, VA; three brothers, Clarence Edmonds of Greensboro, NC; Alvin Edmonds, and Paul Edmonds both from Danville, VA; one aunt, Dorothy Wimbush and one uncle, Elegin Bradley both from Danville, VA; three sisters-in law, Antonia Owens of White Oak, NC, Brenda Gunter of Greensboro, NC, and Sharon Etter (Carlos) of Wilmington, DE; three brothers-in law, Michael Chandler, Timothy White, and Ricky Chandler all from Danville, VA; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives; cherished friends and Caregivers: Michael Chandler and Emma Heath
Mr. David Edmonds services will be Saturday, November 19, 2022; as follows: Public Viewing will be at 11:00am to 12:00noon and Funeral Services will be at 12:00noon both at Cornerstone Church of Jesus Christ in Danville, VA; where Pastor Dorothy Glass will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park in Danville, VA.
