Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announced the death of Deacon Wesley David Cobb of 994 Dotmond Road, Milton, North Carolina. He departed this life on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at his residence.
Wesley was the son of the late Elijah Brandon and Alma Cobb Jennings, born on December 20, 1948, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, where he attended the local public schools.
He was a dedicated employee of Dan River Mills in Danville Virginia. Spiritually, he was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Fellowship Church in Danville, Virginia, where he served as a Deacon.
In addition to his parents, Deacon Wesley was preceded in death by his grandchild Jermaine Cobbs, his sister Esther Williams, and three brothers Earl Brandon, John Warren, and Michael Oliver, and his very special beloved aunt Geraldine Reynolds.
Deacon Wesley David Cobb leaves to cherish his memories with his daughter Jeanette Cobbs of Danville, Virginia; four sisters Martha Giggett, and Susan Robertson (Victor) all of Danville Virginia, Mary Jennings of Milton, North Carolina, and Lillie Brooks (Nathan) of Blairs, Virginia; one brother Willie Cobbs (Clara) of Danville, Virginia; four grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, who brought great joy to his life; his bonus sister Pastor Angel Lea (Donald) of Milton, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, extended family, and cherished friends who’s lives he touched.
A family viewing and visitation for Deacon Wesley David Cobbs will be on Saturday, July 19, 2025; from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m. at Unity Baptist Fellowship Church 104 Banner Street, in Danville, Virginia.
Funeral services for Deacon Wesley David Cobbs will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Unity Baptist Fellowship Church in Danville, Virginia.
Interment will follow at Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Sutherlin, Virginia.
