Devvin Deon Watlington

Greensboro, NC- It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Devvin Deon Watlington, 55, of 2800 Wildwood Drive, Greensboro, NC who passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at his residence.

Devvin, affectionately known as DD, was born in Chapel Hill, NC on September 25, 1967, to Ossie Madkins Russell and the late Lenzy Watlington. At an early age he gave his life to Christ and attended Pearson Chapel A.M.E. Church. Devvin attended and graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School. After high school he briefly attended A&T State University becoming a truck driver shortly after.

In addition to his father, Devvin was preceded in death by his brother David Watlington.

Mr. Devvin Deon Watlington leaves to cherish his memoires his mother Ossie Madkins Russell and stepfather Derek Russell both of Yanceyville, NC; one daughter Asia Graves of Greensboro, NC; the love of his life Cynthia Graves of Greensboro, NC; one brother John Lenzy Watlington of Greensboro, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Devvin Deon Watlington will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023; at 2:00 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel.
