Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Dodge Utits Hodnett of 4718 Foster Road, Yanceyville, North Carolina, who passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 in the Hospice of Rockingham, North Carolina, Wentworth, North Carolina.

Mr. Dodge Hodnett affectionately known as "Beau" was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina, the son of the late Wesley Hodnett Sr. and Geneva Watlington Hodnett, born June 9.1944.

Mr. Dodge Hodnett attended the Caswell County public school system, and he was of Baptist faith. His favorite pastimes were fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Dodge Hodnett was an employee of the Williamsburg Plant in Gibsonville, North Carolina, Dan River Mills in Danville, Virginia, and the Caswell Motor Company in Yanceyville, North Carolina prior to his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dodge Hodnett was preceded in death by three brothers, Wesley Hodnett, Jr., James Hodnett and Earl Hodnett; one sister, Ella Belle Hodnett Lea.

Mr. Dodge Utits Hodnett leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Charles Hodnett (Carmen) of Gibsonville, North Carolina; Antoine Hodnett (Gayla) of Ruffin, North Carolina; Kinston Hodnett (Joan) of Milton, North Carolina; three daughters, Brittney Hodnett of Liberty, North Carolina, Melissa Stokes and Jessica Stokes of Yanceyville, North Carolina; one god child Catina Stokes of Yanceyville, North Carolina; nine sisters, Irene Hodnett of Gibsonville, North Carolina; Ruby Walters (Leon) of Blanch, North Carolina; Eva Harrell of Danville, Virginia; Phyllis Wilson (Vaughn) of Atwater, California; Charlene Graves (James) of Reidsville, North Carolina; Louise Miles, Rosa Clark, Joyce Hodnett Hightower (Charles) and Anna Young (Kenneth) all of Yanceyville, North Carolina; grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Yanceyville, NC.

Funeral Services for Mr. Dodge  Utits  Hodnett will be Friday, November 5, 2021 2:00 p. m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memoria Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Yanceyville, NC.

Interment will follow in the Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
