Donald Bruce Mitchell

Blanch, NC- It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Donald Bruce  " Bow" Mitchell, 69, of 326 High Rock School Road, Blanch NC, who passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Donald Mitchell was born on January 4, 1952 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Robert Maryland Mitchell and Mandeline Saunders Mitchell.   He confessed Christ at a young age and joined the Hamer Missionary Baptist Church, Blanch NC.  

Mr. Donald Mitchell was a 1971 graduate of Bartlett Yancey High School. He was employed by Masonite of Danville, VA for 30 years and was a farmer.  He built his own home which showed many of the skills he had.     

In addition to his parents Mr. Donald Mitchell was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Lurieta Mitchell Foster.

Mr. Donald Mitchell leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Marion Mitchell, of 47 years; three sons, Tyrone David Mitchell (Stephanie) of New Market, Alabama;  Eric Lavale Mitchell (Tangela) of Gibsonville, NC;  Stephen Alan Mitchell (Felicia) of Greensboro, NC; four grandchildren, Kimberly Moore, Breanna Elliot, Jaylen Mitchell, Qiara Mitchell and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Tony Lane Mitchell(Vickie) of Blanch, NC; one sister, Tresca M. Byrd (Walter) of Kernersville, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Monday, May 17, 2021 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Yanceyville, NC with a limit of 10 people at a time.

Funeral Services for Mr. Donald Mitchell will be Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 1:00 PM in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Yanceyville, NC.  Visitation prior to service at 12:30 PM.   Pastor Daniel Elmore will deliver the words of comfort.  Interment will follow in Hamer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Blanch, NC.
