Dora Leona Stamps Moorman Obituary

Mrs. Dora Leona Stamps Moorman, was the daughter of the late  Charlie Stamps and Elsie Lynn Stamps, born October 24,1950 in Rockingham County, North Carolina. She peacefully reached her heavenly home at the age of 69 on Friday, May 01, 2020, from the Pelican Health Care Center in Reidsville, North Carolina.

Dora was a graduate of Caswell County High School, class of 1969. She then pursued her career as an employee of Burlington Industries prior to her retirement. Dora married in Holy Matrimony the love of her life Reuben Moorman and to their union was their daughter Freda.

Dora joined New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church at a young age, where she was faithful and devoted deaconess, missionary, and former secretary of the church.

Dora later on worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Medical Technician at the Canterbury House in Roxboro, North Carolina and the Caswell House in Yanceyville, North Carolina. Her favorite pastime was reading, playing bible trivia, going to the movies, and spending time with her family.

Dora Leona Stamps Moorman was preceded in death by her parents; along with her beloved husband; Reuben Moorman, and her one sister; Anna Louise Stamps Garland.

Mrs. Dora Leona Stamps Moorman, leaves to cherish her memories to her loving family: one daughter, Freda Drewery (Nierron) of Ruffin, North Carolina; a god daughter, Tora Simpson of Ruffin, North Carolina; a devoted niece, Tracey Zolman (John) of Willow Spring, North Carolina; her mother-in-law, Maxine Brown of Reidsville, North Carolina; other nieces, relatives, and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be held on Wednesday , May 6, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time. Please remember to follow CDC guidelines with everyone wearing protective gloves and masks.

Private Graveside Service will be Thursday, May 7, 2020 in New Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.
