Edgar "Pom Pom" Douglas

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Edgar Allen “Pom Pom” Douglas of 4458 Hwy 158 W. Yanceyville, NC, who passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in the Jacob's Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Madison, NC.

He was the son of the late Edgar “Champ” Douglas and Louise Moses Douglas, born May 17, 1952 in Greensboro, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Douglas and four canine companions, Peedy, Woody, Bashful and Shorty.

He was a member of Blackwell Baptist Church in Yanceyville, NC.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Pamela Slade Douglas and mother-in-law, Lillian Ossie Dean Cobb of the home; brother-in-law, Dr. John R. Slade, Jr. (Pamela) of Winston-Salem, NC; nephew, Jon Christopher Slade of Winston-Salem, NC; godson, Byron Southern of Burlington, NC; one canine companion, Trixie of the home; devoted family members/caretakers, Kaylene Linster (Thomas) and Shelly Wiley of Yanceyville, NC and Waddell Graves of Pelham, NC; one sister, Ann Lawrence (Mike) of Greensboro, NC; three brothers, Nebraska Douglas (Robbie), Ralph Douglas and Steve McKinnon (Liz), all of Greensboro, NC; a host of other relatives, and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Friday, June 25, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Edgar Allen “Pom Pom” Douglas will be Saturday, June 26, 2021, 11:00 a.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Blackwell Baptist Church Cemetery, Yanceyville, NC.
