Edith Fields Williamson

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Edith Fields Williamson of 8157 US Hwy. 158 West Yanceyville, NC; who passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022; at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.

Mrs. Edith was born in Rockingham County, North Carolina on September 12, 1941, to the late Mary Fields.

Mrs. Edith was a weaver at Burlington Industries and a member of Love & Faith Temple of Deliverance Church in Reidsville, NC.

In addition to Mrs. Edith’s mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Onzo Williamson; one brother, John Gwynn.

Mrs. Edith Fields Williamson left behind to cherish her memories to her two daughters, Tammy Douthit (Kelvin) of Winston-Salem, NC and Pamela Rogers of Cary, NC; three sons, Barry Fields of Yanceyville, NC, Kenny Williamson (Adrienne) of Winston-Salem, NC and Donnie Williamson (Hermanda) of Kernersville, NC; one sister, Stella Mayes (John) of Freehold, New Jersey; one brother, Ernest Gwynn of Freehold, New Jersey; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and cherished friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak:

A viewing for Mrs. Edith Fields Williamson will be Wednesday, June 01, 2022; from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 01, 2022; from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. at the residence.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edith Fields Williamson will be Thursday, June 02, 2022; at 1:00 p.m. in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home; with family visitation from 12:30 to 1:00pm.

Interment will follow at the New Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.
