Elsie Mae Price Long

Burlington, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announced the death of Ms. Elsie Mae Price Long of 415 Elmira Street Burlington, NC, who passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, in the Yanceyville Health and Rehab. Center, Yanceyville, NC.

Elsie was born in Danville, Virginia on November 15, 1949; to the late John H. Price, Sr., and Queen Goins Price Willis.

She graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Newport News, Virginia. Elsie furthered her education in Hampton, Virginia; where she received her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.

Elsie was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Bayada Home Health Care Agency in Yanceyville, NC prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church in Yanceyville, NC; where Elsie served as a Custodian, a member of the Choir, and Kitchen Committee.

In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her stepfather, Solomon Willis; and her brother, Roger Price.

Ms. Elsie Mae Price Long leaves to cherish her beautiful memories to her foster son, Dwayne Gunn of Yanceyville, NC; her two brothers, John H. Price, Jr. (Carrie) of Burlington, NC, and James William Price, Sr. (Barbara) of Elon, NC; one foster brother, Donald Gunn of Yanceyville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.

A viewing for Ms. Elsie Mae Price Long will be Saturday, January 21, 2023; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.

A visitation for Ms. Elsie Mae Price Long will be Sunday, January 22, 2023; from 1:30pm to 2:00pm.

Funeral Services for Ms. Elsie Mae Price Long will be Sunday, January 22, 2023; at 2:00pm at Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church, Yanceyville, NC.
