Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Emma Jean Walker of 724 U.S. Hwy 158 E. who passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at her residence.
She was a native of Caswell County, NC the daughter of the late Theodora R. Robertson and Zenobia Love Robertson, born January 20, 1952. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church at a early age and later joined and became a member of Allen's Chapel Baptist Church, where she was in the Missionary Ministry. Also, she was a member of many other organizations such as Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 210, Caswell County Cancer Support Group and the NAACP.
She was employed as a CNA and a private duty nurse.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Ja'dasia Walker.
Her survivors are husband of 45 years, Rev. Claude Walker Jr.; one daughter, Latoya V. Walker of the home; one brother, James A. Robertson of Yanceyville, NC; godmother, Cecil Fuller of Mebane, NC; one goddaughter, Danika Fuller Lea of Yanceyville, NC; godsister, Gerrie Fuller of Mebane, NC; godbrother, Carlton Fuller of Mebane, NC; four godgrandchildren, Faith, Patience, Micah, and Elijah; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
* Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time. Please remember to follow CDC guidelines with everyone wearing protective gloves and masks.
Private Graveside Service will be Sunday, April 19, 2020 in the Allen's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Gerald Brown will deliver the words of comfort.
