Mrs. Flossie Ardenia Stewart Graves, daughter of the late Johnnie and Fannie Phillips Stewart was born on June 25, 1924. She was an educated native of Caswell County, North Carolina. Flossie departed this life on Friday, December 27, 2019 at her residence.
Flossie was truly devoted to her family, friends, and church family. She was united in holy matrimony to the late William A. Graves; and to their union six children were born, where she was a homemaker for her family. Flossie joined Macedonia A.M.E. Church where she served as a steward and a faithful member of the senior missionary board, the angelic and senior choir, the fellowship and/or the culinary committee.
In addition to her parents and husband, Flossie was preceded in death by her one daughter, Faye Marie Graves; one son, Nathaniel Graves; one sister, Mabel Stewart; five brothers, Paul Phillips, Raymond Stewart, George Stewart, John Willis Stewart, and Charles Stewart.
Mrs. Flossie Ardenia Stewart Graves leaves to cherish her precious memories to her two sons, William R. Graves of the home and Stanley Eugene Graves of Milton, North Carolina; two daughters, Linda J. Wilson (Buck) of Milton, North Carolina, and Mary A. Graves of Danville, Virginia; six grandchildren, Cory, Denita, Tyler, Jamal, Jacob, Joshua, and Zendiaya; three great grandchildren, Shelisha Jones, Destiny Graves, and Tylaisha Elmore; one great-great grand-daughter Ardena; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
