Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Geneva Pulliam Bigelow of 1564 Mary Jane Bigelow Rd, who passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the Brian Center Nursing facility.
She was a native of Caswell County, NC, the daughter of the late Charlie Cleveland Pulliam and Annie Richmond Pulliam born February 21, 1928 . She was a member of Burton Chapel Baptist Church, where she was mother of the church. She was also a member of the missionary, senior choir, and usher board.
She was a homemaker and a CNA before retirement.
She was married to Johnnie Hazel Bigelow who preceded her in death. she was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny Junior Bigelow; one grandson; Clifford Womack; two sisters, Martha Singletary and Bessie Woods; eight brothers, James, David, John, Eddie, Lewis, Robert, Charlie and Winston Pulliam.
Her survivors are six daughters, Annie Womack ( Leroy ) of Mebane, NC, Mary Womack ( George ) of Yanceyville, NC, Irma McCandies ( Joseph ) of Mebane, NC, Brenda Jones ( Nathaniel ) of Burlington, NC, Linda Evans ( Winfred ) of Mebane, NC and Shirley Britt ( Wallace ) Fuquay Varina, NC; two foster sons, James Thomas ( Tokyo ) of Tacoma, Washington and John Thomas ( Jean ) of Burlington, NC; four sisters-in-law, Mary Pulliam, Ida Pulliam, Patricia Pulliam and Monnie Couch; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
