Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Henry Clifton Goods of 4479 Yarborough Mill Rd. Milton, North Carolina, who passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at his residence.
He was born in Person County, North Carolina, the son of the late William McKinley Goods and Sylvia Jane Goods, born December 8, 1933. He was self- employed as a farmer. He was a member of St. James Baptist Church and served as a Deacon.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Dallas M. Goods, Ronnie Goods and Benjamin Y. Goods; stepdaughter, Carolyn Lipscomb; brother, Willie Goods and a sister, Geneva Goods.
His survivors are wife, Mildred Goods of the home; four daughters, Sylvia Faydean Johnson (Ray) of Florida, Deannia Lousie Opabola of Orlando, Florida, Sharion Denise Dixon (Kenneth) of Texas and Carolyn Farshelia Damptey of Texas; two stepdaughters, Rosa Kate Farmer (Hodges) of Milton, North Carolina, Floressa Lipscomb of Milton, North Carolina; three sons, Clifton Leon Goods of Durham, Dennis Alphonso Goods (Patricia) of Alton, Virginia and Charles Sylvester Goods of Danville, Virginia; one stepson, Acie Stewart, Jr. (Dorothy) of Durham, North Carolina; two sisters, Bishop Mary Black of Roxboro, North Carolina and Dorothy Lott of Rochester, New York; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time. Please remember to follow CDC guidelines with everyone wearing protective gloves and masks.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 9, 2020, 12:00 Noon at St. James Baptist Church . Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Attendance at the funeral will be limited to fifty (50) individuals and attendees will be pre-determined by the family.
