Herbert Long

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Herbert Long 65, of  300 Oak Tree St. Yanceyville, NC , who passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 in the SOVAH Health, Danville, VA.

He was a native of Caswell County, NC the son of Mary Totten Long and the late Alfonza Long, born June 15, 1957 in Caswell County, NC. He was a member of Zion Gates Holiness Church and was a farm helper before retirement.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Rebecca Totten; one brother, Ronnie A. Long; two sisters, Brenda K. Long and Stella Miles; one  aunt, Mollie Bell Slade.

Herbert leaves to cherish his memories, mother, Mary T. Long of Yanceyville, NC; one brother, William J. Long of Yanceyville, NC; three sisters, Mary E. Scott  and Donna M. Long of Yanceyville, NC and Ellen L. Herbin of Danville, VA;  God daughter, Min. Gwendolyn Torain; and God son, AL Jay; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

A viewing for Mr. Herbert Long will be Thursday, March 16, 2023; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Visitation  will be Friday, March 17, 2023; from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Herbert Long will be Friday, March 17, 2023; at 1:00pm in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Yanceyville  Missionary Church Cemetery in Yanceyville, NC.
