Danville, Va. - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Howard Oakes of 709 River Ridge Rd. Danville, Va., who passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 in the Piney Forest Nursing Home,Danville, Va.

He was a native of Danville, Va., the son of the late Edward Oakes and Nannie McKinney, born November 9, 1944.

He was a plumber by trade before retirement.

His survivors are four children, Howard Lee Oakes Jr. , Deborah L. Yevtich, Chris E. Oakes and Nicole M. Rose; other relatives and friends.
