Howard Stewart Jr.

Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Howard Stewart Jr.,61, of 4387 Yarborough Mill Rd. Milton, NC, who passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at his residence.

He was born to the late Howard Edward Stewart Sr. and Mae Sue Stewart Winstead on April 1, 1961, in Person County, NC. 

He attended Bartlett Yancey and then went on to serve as a veteran of the United States Army later receiving his diploma and degree at Piedmont Community College in 2007. He was a dedicated employee at US Flue Cured Tobacco where he was set to retire this year.

He lived his life to the fullest while enjoying family time with his kids and grandkids. He was a diehard Cowboys fan.

In addition to his parents and grandparents he was preceded in death by his son Tevin Stewart and his niece Sharita Coleman.

Howard leaves to cherish his memories his daughter Tamicka Clay (Pancakes) of Milton, NC; and two sons: Quomaine Clay (Shake) of Milton, NC, and Tristan Stewart (Mooda) of Mebane, NC; his granddaughters: London Stewart of Mebane, NC, Tamia and Tiana Clay of Milton NC; his four grandsons: Tristan Stewart Jr. of Danville, VA, Jekayvalyn, Jacorey, and Jayshawn Clay of Milton, NC; his two brothers: Barry Johnson and Franklin Stewart of Milton, NC; three sisters: Brenda Hamlett of Milton, NC, Sharon Stewart of Roxboro, NC, and Brenda Reid of Danville, VA; four stepsiblings; three aunts Lottie Clark Washington of Milton, NC, Pansy Stewart of Milton, NC and Ollie Mar Stewart of Blanch, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and cherished friends.

A viewing for Howard Stewart, Jr. will be Thursday, March 9, 2023; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be Friday, March 10, 2023; at 1 p.m at Macedonia AME Church in Milton, NC.
