Providence, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Howard Harris Jr. 51, of 723 Cascade Rd. Providence, NC, who passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 in the Annie Penn Memorial Hospital, Reidsville, NC.
He was the son of the late Howard Harris Sr. and Rachel Boyd Harris, born February 22, 1972 in Halifax , Virginia. He was a member of Macedonia AME Church in Milton, NC and Sumthanz Different Auto Club.
Howard was an employee of EDI before he became disabled.
His survivors are wife, Christina McCain Harris of the home; four sons, Breshaun Harris, Dontae Harris both of Providence, NC, Dalquan Harris of South Boston, VA., and Dayron Brooks of New York; one stepson, Rashon Thomas of Providence, NC; three daughters, Breonna Harris of Martinsville, VA., Janiya Harris of Lynchburg, VA., and Shaniya Harris of Providence, NC; two brother, Quinton Johnson of Statesville, NC and Sean Hill ( Alexandria) of South Carolina; four sisters, Tonya Vargas ( Juan) of Danville, Va., Tanya Veal ( Paul) of South Boston, VA., Angela Sims of South Boston, VA., and Louise Jordan of Alton, VA.; grandmother, Alice Boyd of Halifax, VA.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Annie McCain of Semora, NC; two brothers-in-law, Brad McCain (Lakesha) of Vernon Hill, VA. and Bobby McCain ( Lisa) of Semora, NC; six grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Howard Harris, Jr. will be Thursday, March 16, 2023; from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Macedonia AME Church Milton, NC.
Funeral Services for Mr. Howard Harris Jr. will be Thursday March 16, 2023; at 2 p.m. at Macedonia AME Church in Milton, NC. Interment will follow in the Macedonia AME Church Cemetery.
