James T. Watlington

Danville, VA - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. James  T. Watlington 64, of 2344 Riverside Dr. Danville, VA., who passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center, Danville, VA.

James was born in Caswell County, North Carolina on March 27, 1957, to Norman Watlington and to the late, Luethel McCain Watlington Graves.

James attended Caswell County Public School systems.

James was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, and he was later employed with a Textile Company in Reidsville, North Carolina.

James was a member of Cornerstone Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Yanceyville, North Carolina.

Mr. James Thomas Watlington left behind to honor his memories is his father, Deacon Norman Watlington (Delois); one daughter, Monica Hairston (Rodney) of Greensboro, North Carolina; two sons, Jason Watlington of Greensboro, NC, and Jeremiah Watlington (Tamara) of Madison, NC; four sisters, Evangelist Carolyn Walter (Thomas) of Yanceyville, NC, Eldress Brenda Walter (Elder Lee) of Pelham, NC, Minister Penny Fleishman (Tommie) and Minister Annette Garland (David) all of Milton, NC; two brothers, Apostle Norman Watlington, (Carolyn) of Rock Hill, SC, and Raymond Watlington of Yanceyville, NC, one step-brother, Willie Terry of Burlington, NC; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, and cherished friends.

The family is accepting guests at his sister, Carolyn Walter residence 4982 HWY 86 N, Yanceyville, NC 27379 and at his daughter, Monica Hairston residence 3710 Whitworth Drive, Greensboro, NC 27405. (Social distancing and facial masks are required).

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak:

A viewing for Mr. James Thomas Watlington will be Friday, March 25, 2022; from 2 p.m. to 7p.m. in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. James Thomas Watlington will be Saturday, March 26, 2022; at 3p.m. in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Interment for Mr. James Thomas Watlington will be at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC at a later date with Military Rites.
