Joan Hendricks

Bassett, VA- It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Joan Hendricks of 1449 Trent Hill Drive Bassett, Virgina, who departed this life on Sunday, October 29, 2023; in the Caswell House of Yanceyville, North Carolina.

She was a native of Snow Creek Virginia, born on March 24, 1945, to the late Herbert Doyle and Virginia Travis Doyle.

Joan Was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant and/or a CNA prior to her retirement.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, James Hendricks; and her one sister, Marie Odell.

Ms. Joan Hendricks leaves to cherish her memories to her one daughter, Felisha Lisa Spencer Turner of Bassett, Virginia; her two sons, John Early Patterson Jr. of Martinsville, Virginia and Michael Todd Patterson of Eden, North Carolina; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives, and friends.

A graveside service for Mrs. Joan Hendricks will be conducted on Tuesday, November 7, 2023; at 2:00 pm at the Odell Family Cemetery; located at 1405 Old Leaksville Road, Ridgeway, Virginia.
