Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Joan Henderson Johnson of 239 Foster Rd. Yanceyville, NC, who passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Percy Henderson and Lizzie Marie Blackwell Henderson, born October 30, 1941 in Morristown, NJ. She was a member of Blackwell Baptist Church and was a employee of Pfizer Pharmaceutical before retirement.
Her survivors are husband, Wilbert Johnson of the home; one daughter, Regina Johnson of Ruffin, NC; one son, Herbert Graves of Patterson, NJ; three sisters, Shirley Jefferys ( Walter ) of Temple Hill, Md., Doris Blackwell and Kacine Graves ( Dwight ) all of Yanceyville, NC; six brothers, Percy Henderson ( Margretta ) of Reidsville, NC, Melvin Henderson ( Doris ), Walter Henderson, Bradford Henderson ( Curlise ), Arnold Henderson and Eugene Henderson all of Yanceyville, NC; two sister-in-law, Lillie Harrison ( James ) and Mary Warren all of Baltimore, Md.; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
*Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time. Please remember to follow CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
Graveside service will be Friday, July 3, 2020 12:00 Noon at Blackwell Baptist Church Cemetery.
