John Edward Miles Jr.

Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. John E. Miles Jr.  formerly of 4670 NC Hwy. 86 N. Yanceyville, NC, who passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 in the Stratford Rehabilitation Center, Danville, VA.

He was the son of the late John E. Miles Sr. and Lula Bell Garland Miles, born November 7, 1935 in Danville, Va.. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was a employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. before retirement.

He was preceded in death  his wife, Ruedell Graves Miles and  one brother, Joseph Miles.

His survivors are one daughter, Brenda Miles of Danville, VA.; two sons, Michael Miles  and Ricky Miles (Annette)  all of Danville, VA.;  one sister, Verus Knight of Blanch, NC; one brother, Earl Miles of Blanch, NC; two grandchildren, Stephanie Deshazor of Danville, VA, and Aaron Miles of Africa; 1 great grandson, Mich Deshazor; a host of other relatives and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Tuesday, January 26 from 2 to7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time.   (Per CDC Guidelines:  Facial Masks are required).

Funeral Services for Mr. John Edward Miles Jr. will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021  12 noon  in Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Robinson  will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

*Attendance at the funeral service will be limited to fifty (50) individuals and attendees will be pre-determined by the family*.
