Lelia F. Jones Lipscomb

Blanch, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Lelia Florence Jones Lipscomb 106, of 6582 Blanch Rd. Blanch, NC, who passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, in the Duke Regional Hospital, Durham, NC.

She was a native of Caswell County, NC the daughter of William Pointer Stephens and Mary Bell Jones, born May 12, 1916. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, where she was mother of the church, former secretary, served on the pastor aid committee, Culinary Committe and choir.

Mrs. Lelia Florence, as she was called by many, had a strong faith and belief in God and loved her church and church family.

She was a homemaker and a CNA before retirement.

Mrs. Lelia Florence Lipscomb was preceded in death by her husband, James Stewart Lipscomb; one son, Rev. Calvin Lipscomb; and brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Patricia Ann Lipscomb Colvin of Blanch, NC; one son, James Wilbert Lipscomb (Mary) of Charlotte, NC; 4 grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; 4 great-great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

A viewing for Lelia Florence Jones Lipscomb will be Thursday, December 29, 2022; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.

Funeral Services for Lelia Florence Jones Lipscomb will be Friday, December 30, 2022; at 11:00 AM at River Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Blanch, NC.

Interment will follow at River Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Blanch, NC.
