Pelham. NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Leotis Holloway Sr. of 1493 Mineral Springs Rd. Pelham, NC, who passed away Friday, October 28, 2022; in the Annie Penn Memorial Hospital, Reidsville, NC.
He was a native of Caswell Co., NC, the son of the late Juluis Holloway and Carrie Bowe Holloway, born November 21, 1925. Leotis was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church and he was also a farmer prior to retirement.
Leotis was married to Augusta McGee Holloway who preceded him in death; as well as his one brother, James Holloway, Sr.; three sisters, Elizabeth Tanner, Annie Henderson, and Pearl Hatchett; two granddaughter, Zadie Bell Holloway and Tabithia Holloway; one-great granddaughter, Victoria Holloway; one son-in-law, Mordecai Thompson Sr.; one daughter-in-law, Carolyn Holloway.
His survivors are two sons, Leotis Holloway Jr. of Yanceyville, NC and Arthur Louis Holloway of the home; five daughters, Zadie Holloway Thompson of Maryland, Frances Odelia Holloway of the home, Mary Holloway Thomas (Anthony) of Great Mills, MD, Virginia Holloway Waters (Michael) of Pelham, NC and Ella Holloway Stewart of Pelham, NC; 14 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mr. Leotis Holloway Sr. will be Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mr. Leotis Holloway Sr. will be Monday, November 7, 2022, 12:00 Noon in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Pastor Gregory Hopkins will deliver the words of comfort.
