Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Linda Stamps Gannaway 60, of 387 E. Main St. Yanceyville, NC, who passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 in the Alamance Regional Medical Center, (Cone Health) Burlington, NC.
She was the daughter of the late William Henry Stamps and Elizabeth Blackwell Stamps, born December 17, 1960. Linda was a former member of Red Hill Baptist Church and she later joined and became a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a deaconess and a member of the choir and Kitchen committee.
She was an employee of GKN.
Her survivors are husband, Dillard Franklin Gannaway of the home; one son, Cameron Gannaway of Yanceyville, NC; one daughter, Kendra Carter ( Lawrence ) of Roxboro, NC; two sisters, Gloria Henderson ( Archie ) and Barbara Brown all of Pelham, NC; one grandchildren Malachi Carter; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 2p.m to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6 to 7 pm. (Facial Masks are required).
Funeral Services for Mrs. Linda Stamps Gannaway will be Thursday, October 21, 2021, 2:00 PM at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Parking Lot. Elder Mark Gibson will deliver the words of comfort and Pastor Teresa Hardy will preside. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
