Macnicious L. "Mac" Hairston

Axton, VA. - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Macnicious “Mac” Hairston 46 of 85 Scales Road, Axton, Virginia, who passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, in the SOVAH Health in Martinsville, Virginia.

“Mac” as he was affectionately called, was born on April 30, 1975 in Eden, North Carolina to the late McKinley Keen and Rosa Lee Hairston Keen; who passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

Mac was a 1994 graduate of the Laurel Park High School in Martinsville, Virginia.

Mac professed Christ and joined Refuge Center of Deliverance in Martinsville, Virginia; under the leadership of the late Bishop Albert L. Hairston.

Mac was the epitome of a family man and he will be deeply missed. He was always seen with a smile, as he loved to laugh. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family; especially with his nieces and nephews.

Mr. Macnicious “Mac” Hairston leaves to cherish his memories to his siblings, Courtney Hairston of Eden, North Carolina, Sharon Hairston (Timothy Medley) of Martinsville, Virginia, Anthony Hairston of Texas, Telly Keen of Axton, Virginia, Alfonza Keen of Axton, Virginia, Monique Walker (Vernon) of College Park, Georgia, and Christopher Clark (Shannon) of Hawaii; thirteen nieces and nephews, Britney Hairston, Mark Hairston, Terrell Medley, Shamiya Medley, Anna Hairston, Trinity Hairston, Telly Vasalas Keen, Tazyiah Keen, Arnasia McDaniel, Charisa Clemons, Tyrek Clark, Ashanti Waller, Jeremy and Jerelle; one great niece, Nayara McDaniel; one great-nephew, Nakai McDaniel; and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives, and friends.

A viewing will be Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home and viewing Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. in the Parking Lot of St John Baptist Church, Axton, VA.   (FACIAL MASKS ARE REQUIRED).

Funeral service for Mr. Macnicious “Mac” Hairston will be Saturday, October 16, 2021, 1:00 PM in the Parking Lot of St. John Baptist Church, Axton, VA.  Elder Rodney Keen delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Valentine Family Cemetery in Axton, VA. (FACIAL MASKS ARE REQUIRED).
