Michael W. Adams

Danville, VA. - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Michael W. Adams of 333 Audubon Drive. Danville, VA., who passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Piney Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center, Danville, Virginia.

Michael was the son of the late Gladys Adams, born June 04, 1973, in Danville, Virginia. He was also raised by his grandparents the late Jessie and Ida Belle Adams.

Michael attended and graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School in Yanceyville, North Carolina; in the “Class of 1991”. Afterwards Michael received his associate degree at National Business College, in Danville, Virginia.

Michael was employed with the Danville Redevelopment & Housing Authority, and later he was employed with the City of Danville as a machine operator and grounds keeper prior to his declining health.

Michael studied Jehovah Witness for many years. His favorite pastimes were reading, watching his favorite football (Cowboys) and basketball (North Carolina) teams. Michael was a fun and out-going person, who inspired his friends and others to keep striving in life despite of their challenges.

In addition to his grandparents and his mother, Michael was preceded in death by one sister Monica Oliver. 

Mr. Michael W. Adams leaves to cherish his beloved memories to his two brothers, William Madkins of Milton, North Carolina, and James Adams of Altavista, Virginia; three aunts Glendora Lewis, Joyce Ruffin, and Deloris McCain all of Danville, Virginia; nieces; nephews; other loving relatives, and friends. A special thank-you to his caregivers; his aunt Deloris McCain, his cousin Christopher McCain, and his neighbors, especially Mr. Henry who stuck by Michael through thick and thin.

A viewing for Mr. Michael W. Adams will be Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
