Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Monnie Johnson Oliver Pinchback of 879 Purley Church Rd. Yanceyville, NC , who passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 in the SOVAH Health Danville, VA.

She was a native of Caswell County, NC, the daughter of the late Martha Johnson, born February 18, 1937. She was a member of Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church , where she was mother of the church, a deaconess, president of the usher board, Sunday school teacher, and served on the nurses unit. She was also a member of 647 Order of Eastern Star.

Monnie was an employee of the Caswell County School System as a teacher assistant before retirement.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Johnson; two brothers, James Johnson and Richard Johnson Sr..

Her survivors are husband, Dewey Pinchback of the home; one son, Jeffrey Oliver of Danville, VA.; three daughters, Janie Johnson of Yanceyville, NC, Brenda Fowler ( Michael ) of Blanch, NC and Deneen Streeter ( Charles ) of Greensboro, NC;  step daughter, Jackie Barbour  of South Boston, Va.; two sisters, Susan Breland of Thomasville, NC and Elizabeth Johnson of Yanceyville, NC; three brothers, Lawrence Johnson of Pelham, NC, Thomas Johnson of Yanceyville, NC, and Frank Johnson of Greensboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Peggy Johnson of Yanceyville, NC; Good friends, Sadie Gwynn of Providence, NC, Helen Turner of Yanceyville, NC and Rachael McCadden of Yanceyville, NC; caregivers, Shalina Walker, Rasheeda Green and Kia Milton; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 2 to 7 pm in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton- Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 4, 2022 2:00 PM at Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Arthur N. Grier II will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Interment will follow in the Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
