Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Andrew Roosevelt Taylor of 6229 Highway 86 South in Yanceyville, North Carolina. He passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at his sister's residence in Blanch, North Carolina.
Andrew was the son of the late Andrew Rutherford Taylor and Matilda Stephens Taylor born on January 04, 1945, in Caswell, County, North Carolina.
He received his education from the local public schools and furthered his education by attending and graduating from Alamance Community College, where Andrew received his certifications in auto mechanics. Subsequently Andrew enlisted and proudly served his country as a Veteran in the United States Army having received an honorable discharge after dedicated military service. His commitment to duty reflected his strength, discipline, and love for his nation.
Andrew started his new life as an Area Manager for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Danville, Virginia, where he later retired. He was also an active member of High Rock Baptist Church in Blanch, North Carolina; where Andrew served as a Trustee, a member of the Usher Board and of the High Rock Community Center planning committee.
In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bobbie Jean Taylor, his brother Lawrence Anthony Taylor, two brothers-in-law Turner H. Totten, and G. T. Huff.
Mr. Andrew Roosevelt Taylor leaves to cherish his memories with his daughter Daniele Taylor Covington of Charlotte, North Carolina; his son Craig O. Taylor of High Point, North Carolina; three sisters, Reverend Dr. Marion Holloway (Reverend Dr. Enoch Holloway) of Youngsville, North Carolina, Naomi Totten of Blanch, North Carolina, and Teressa Taylor Huff of Durham, North Carolina; his two grandchildren Christian A. Covington, and Camryn D. Covington; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives, and many cherished friends.
A Public viewing for Mr. Andrew R. Taylor will be on Sunday, August 17, 2025; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
A Family visitation viewing for Mr. Andrew R. Taylor will be on Monday, August 18, 2025; from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at High Rock Baptist Church in Blanch, North Carolina.
Funeral Services for Mr. Andrew R. Taylor will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025; at High Rock Baptist Church in Blanch, North Carolina.
Interment will follow at High Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Blanch, North Carolina, along with Military Honors.
